We all know how complex our melanin-rich South Asian skin can be. Thick skin, quick to tan, sunspots, acne, pigmentation, easy scaring – we can go on all day. Research shows brands locally available are not only neglecting aforementioned problems, but exacerbating them with unhealthy products based on our culture’s deep-rooted whiteness issue.
Since inception, we have been on a mission to meet the unique and underserved needs of Desi skin. We are an ethnic functional skincare brand – the brainchild of our CEO Samira Quasem. In 2020 she was inspired by local anti-fairness activism, but shocked by the lack of industry response and available products in Bangladesh. She decided it’s fair time we get the products that our skins crave versus those set by society’s standards. Working with K-Beauty experts, she created a line that surpasses trends. It looks to heal and lift South Asian skin.
Here at Truce Beauty, we are on a mission to invoke your inner self-confidence, self-love and with one step at a time, make an impactful effect on dismantling archaic cultural beauty standards.
It’s time to call a truce with your skin.
